Community Leaders Celebrate the Anniversary of the Affordable Care Act

Highlighting Progress and Continued Need to Address Health Affordability, Access and Disparities in the Central Valley

Merced, California – With the 14th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on Saturday, Valley Families Unite, Health Access California, Courage California and California Alliance for Retired Americans will host an event to commemorate the historic legislation while bringing attention to continued health affordability, access and disparities in California’s Central Valley.

The event will bring together a diverse panel of speakers to discuss the state of health care in the Central Valley–both the progress made under the ACA and more recently under the Inflation Reduction Act–and urge Central Valley Congress Members, including John Duarte, Josh Harder, David Valadao and Jim Costa, to support President Biden’s budget which will continue to provide meaningful financial relief for millions of people with Medicaid and Medicare by expanding benefits, lowering drug costs and strengthening these core programs.
