STATEMENT: Congressman Ken Calvert Announces Support for Far-Right Representative Jim Jordan’s Speaker Bid
Corona, California – Today, Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-41) announced his support for Representative Jim Jordan's bid for Speaker of the House, aligning himself with Rep. Jordan’s far-right positions and involvement in the House Freedom Caucus.
This isn’t the first time that Calvert has shown his extremist values. In 2021, we saw Calvert’s role in supporting the January 6 insurrection, and now he is supporting a documented liar and conspiracy theorist to lead our House in this critical time.

"We are disappointed in Congressman Calvert's endorsement of right-wing extremist Representative Jim Jordan for House Speaker, which demonstrates, again, that Calvert’s priority is playing politics over representing the best interests of his constituents and the American people. Congressman Calvert must prioritize keeping our community programs and services fully funded so working families in his district can continue to have the resources they need to thrive."
