Who we are
Valley Families Unite is a new coalition of partners who are fighting to create a strong economy for all valley residents and hold elected officials who aren’t on the side of working families accountable. We do this by uplifting the voices of constituents who are impacted by high costs.
Partners in the coalition include Lower Costs California, Courage California, Inland Empire United, and Communities for a New California.
While corporations are raising prices, making record profits, and paying low taxes, families are struggling to keep up with groceries, housing, gas, health care, and other day-to-day costs.

Lowering Costs

Higher wages for our working families, after decades of stagnant wages.

Making corporations and the wealthy pay their fair share like everyone else is being asked to.
Where our elected officials stand …
John Duarte (CA-13)
Voted to cut access to health centers, housing support, farmer pandemic loss payments, and other assistance for rural households and communities while voting to raise costs on necessities such as food, health care, rent, and utilities.
Voted to cut Social Security and privatize Medicare while voting to protect wealthy and corporate tax cheats.
Voted to cut funding for investigations into workplace hazards through OSHA and funding to help employees recover back wages owed while voting to protect wealthy and corporate tax cheats.
Ken Calvert (CA-41)
Voted to raise costs on necessities such as food, health care, rent, and utilities
Voted to give massive tax breaks to the wealthy and large corporations
Voted to cut Social Security and privatize Medicare while voting to protect wealthy and corporate tax cheats.
Voted against lower drug prices and premiums for seniors while voting to remove 23 million Americans from health insurance.

Our Coalition
Courage California believes that California must be a beacon of progressive, equitable, and truly representative democracy. By uniting and equipping Californians to hold leaders accountable and take courageous action for change. Driven by its members and partnerships throughout the state, Courage California actively calls out institutional corruption and oppression, improves coordination and collaboration between progressive organizations, and demands that state and local representatives be accountable to and reflective of the Californians they seek to serve.
Communities for a New California Action Fund is fighting to disrupt the imbalance of power and wealth that have caused our California families to face injustice. We are organizing, developing leaders, and turning people out to vote to facilitate change so that all of our families can access sustainable jobs, livable wages, clean drinking water, and finished neighborhoods with housing options that are not only affordable but also safe.
Inland Empire United is a collaboration of community agents and leaders who believe in affecting change in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. I.E. United was established in 2017 as a table with a focus on supporting, developing and uplifting candidates who support our community agenda, and brings together inter-sectional movements of our partners in one collective vision for our region.
Lower Costs California is a group of concerned citizens who have a vision for a better and more affordable California for people from every background. Our mission is to hold our representatives accountable to make a fair California a reality.
